What is Cengage access and how does it work?

Integrate SAM With Your Blackboard Course Integrate SAM With Your Blackboard Course Sections Your Blackboard® administrator must have set up the Cengage tool in Blackboard. With this integration: You and your students access your SAM courses from Blackboard. You can sync your students' grades for SAM activities to Blackboard.

How to access Blackboard course?

Access Your Blackboard Course 1 Log into Blackboard and select your course. 2 Click any link to Cengage content to continue the registration process. 3 Not sure where to click? Ask your instructor or try clicking on a few links. You’ll know you’ve clicked the right one when you see the Cengage login screen.

How to verify a Cengage account?

To verify your account, open the ‘Welcome to Cengage’ email you just received and click ‘Activate Cengage Account’ to set your password and complete the registration process. Be sure to use the same device and browser to create and verify your account.

Your Blackboard administrator can download and install the Cengage Building Block, at no cost. After the building block has been installed and configured, you can add Cengage content to your Blackboard Learn courses.

Incorporate Cengage Unlimited into course design

Don’t forget to place a link to the Cengage Unlimited Student Dashboard into your course. This will maintain a seamless experience for students who subscribe to Cengage Unlimited and ensure they have full access to all the Cengage resources available through their subscription from within Canvas.

The free Cengage integration is available through Partner Cloud and requires the following Learn versions: For SaaS: 3700.5 is the minimum version required. For Enterprise: 9.1 Q4 2019 is the minimum version required.
