How to Login to Blackboard Go to the Saddleback homepage (www.saddleback.edu) Mouse over the Online Education menu and then click on the Blackboard link. Username is the first part of the student email address (i.e. jsmith1) Default password is the student PIN followed by two zeros (i.e. 123400) Please note that it is strongly recommended that the student change their login
Navigate to My Work -> Faculty Services -> Current Schedule. Click on the drop down menu next to Semester, and select the right semester. Your course listing will appear. Click on Website link. Click on "Make the course visible to students on Blackboard". Your course will be visible to your students in the next two hours on the odd hours.
Saddleback's online courses are powered by Blackboard (a Web-based course management system designed to allow students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online or use online materials and activities to complement face-to-face teaching).
New blank course shells are created automatically for all faculty by ticket number when the class schedule becomes available. You will need to make the course visible (available) or invisible (unavailable) to your students via MySite.
All student enrollments are now automated. All adds/drops should be completed through MySite every TWO hours on the ODD hours.
To access Blackboard, go to http://saddleback.blackboard.com#N#(link is external)#N#. For those of you who have the old URL, http://socccd.blackboard.com on your syllabi, do not worry. You do not have to change it. The Saddleback URL is just another way to access Blackboard.

Students can search for online courses in the schedule as well as courses that have zero textbook costs (ZTC). Save time and money by using search features and looking for special icons in the schedule.
Currently, Saddleback offers 53 fully online degrees and/or certificates. This means that all of the required courses needed for the degree can be completed online. We also offer several Certificates of Achievement in areas such as Entrepreneurship, General Business, Global Business, Business Leadership, Business Communications, and Marketing.
