LockDown Browser is a locked browser for use with quizzes in Blackboard. It prevents you from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during an assessment. If a Blackboard quiz requires that LockDown Browser be used, you will not be able to take the quiz with a standard web browser.

How To Know If A Lockdown Browser Is Recording You. After you confirm the webcam's set up and start the exam, a recording icon will appear on your screen's top right corner once the exam begins.
