In accordance with the Kansas Board of Regents academic calendar and State of Kansas holidays, the University annually establishes a schedule for the academic break, winter recess, and holidays.

Unit Responsibilities

Campus units have the responsibility by specified deadlines to annually report the winter recess unit plans and to confirm the designations of weather essential staff.

Employee Arrangements

The period between the end of fall semester exams and the beginning of the spring semester provides an excellent opportunity for many staff to schedule vacation time.
