What is NSSE reminder?

Description: A NSSE reminder screen was the first thing students saw upon login. Once students clicked the "Go To My Survey" button, a more detailed recruitment message with the actual survey link could be seen. After completing the survey, the reminder screen no longer appeared.

How does one post student-specific NSSE survey links to learning management systems (LMS)? One can choose to implement this process as an activity guide. The guide starts off with an intro page, then goes to a custom page, which displays an entry from the message catalog. The message catalog entry has a tag where we want the URL to be included.

Blackboard

Other advice provided by another user: We took a list of usernames and links provided to us by NSSE, and created a script that looked up the NSSE link for the given username. We then showed a generic link to the students this applied to, and appended their username to it to direct the students to the correct spot.

Recruitment Method

NSSE sends five institution-customized recruitment messages directly to students. Institutions may customize message content using NSSE’s IRB-approved message templates to ensure that message content and signatory best reflect campus culture.

Additional Messages Sent by Your Campus

Institutions using either recruitment method may send up to three additional recruitment messages, from their own campus, using NSSE’s IRB-approved message template, in addition to the messages sent from NSSE.
