What is Norwich University known for?

The Navy ROTC scholarship entitles its recipients to full-tuition assistance or room-and-board reimbursement, as well as a textbook/fee allowance and a monthly stipend to cover the student’s living expenses. In addition to the scholarship options offered by the Navy and Marine Corps, Norwich University also has a ROTC financial aid policy.

Air Force & Space Force ROTC

The Air Force ROTC mission is to produce leaders for the Air Force and Space Force. Air Force ROTC offers a four-year program and a three-year program, both based on Air Force requirements and led by active-duty Air Force officers.

Army ROTC

Army ROTC is one of the most demanding and successful leadership programs in the country. The training a student receives in Army ROTC provides leadership development, military skills and career training. Courses take place both in the classroom and in the field, and are mixed with normal academic studies.

Navy & Marine Corps ROTC

As the single largest source of Navy officers, the Navy ROTC program plays an important role in preparing young adults for leadership and management positions in the increasingly technical Navy. Navy ROTC offers a mixture of military training and normal academic study with courses in the classroom and in the field.

All Cadets living the military lifestyle at Norwich participate in at least four semesters of ROTC before choosing to pursue a commission as an officer or a civilian vocation. Norwich boast the highest rate of active duty commissions in the nation and scholarships for contracted Army cadets in the nation.

At home, Norwich AROTC Cadre have earned multiple graduate and undergraduate degrees while continuing their Army service.

How to become a rotc?

Successful completion of the four-year Army ROTC program at Norwich guarantees a Commission. Successful Completion consists of: 1 Eight semesters of Military Science (and Mil-Sci Lab) 2 Participation in Army Physical Fitness three days a week 3 Completion of Cadet Advance Camp during the summer after Junior year 4 Completion of a four-year baccalaureate degree 5 Cadets must pass the Army Physical Fitness test and be in accordance with Army height/weight standards 6 Must be a US Citizen 7 Must be at least 17 years old at time of start and under 31 at time of completion 8 Must maintain full-time enrollment in college 9 No felonies or domestic assault convictions
