Blackboard Learn integrates with NSCC’s Banner student information system to automatically provide "private course spaces" for each class taught at the college. Student enrollments and faculty assignments are also handled automatically by the Banner integration. Blackboard Learn is accessible from the college’s MyNorthshore portal.

Javascript is a programming language that runs on a Web browser. Blackboard Learn uses this language to be functional. If Javascript is not enabled, the system will not work for specific purposes.

Be sure to enter the site through the NSCC Central Authentication link in the Faculty and Student Login module. 3 Locate the Browser Checker on the Blackboard Learn My Home page. 4 Click the Launch Browser Checker button. 5 Verify that your Web browser meets all of the system requirements.
Cookies are small pieces of data stored in your Web browser. Blackboard Learn uses cookies as a way to keep track of your movements within the Learn site. This is why it is important to enable your Web browser to accept cookies. Often, Blackboard Learn opens course-related content in a new window.

Click the Privacy & Security on the left menu. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data and click Clear Data. (Note that in some instances you may need to close and restart the browser for the cookie data to be cleared.) Scroll down to History and click Clear History.
For your Web browser to function efficiently, you should clear your Web cache often: Edge. Click the Settings and More icon (ellipsis). Click History. Click the el lipsis icon next to the pushpin icon. Click Clear Browsing Data. The default is "all time" for Time Range and all the options are checked.
Open the browser. Go to the Help menu and select About Firefox. (If you do not see the Help menu, press the Alt key on your keyboard to display the menu bar .) Open the browser. Click the word Safari, on the top-left side, and select About Safari. Open the browser.
Check that your browser is Blackboard compatible or switch to a different browser. You can also test your browser by using the Browser Checker. Or, log into Blackboard and use the Browser Checker on the My Home page. If certain items do not pass the test, you may want to refer to this resource.
This is a free NSCC online course that can teach you about the expectations of learning online and how to succeed in this environment. It will also teach you the basic Blackboard features and tools, such as posting to a discussion, submitting an assignment, and a taking quiz.
Most distance learning courses accept files in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF formats. If you saved your document in a different format (e.g., Pages, Keynote), it is likely your instructor cannot open such a file. You will need to resave your file to an appropriate format.
You can test your browser by using the Blackboard Browser Checker. Or, log into Blackboard and use the Browser Checker on the My Home page. If certain items do not pass the test, you may want to refer to this resource. It is possible you may need to install certain plugins.

In the course you would like to make available, expand the Control Panel under Course Management. Click the Customization link, and then Properties. In the Properties settings page, scroll down to the Set Availability section. For Make Course Available, select Yes. Click the Submit button.
To edit any content in Blackboard Learn, you will click the chevron to the right of the title of what you are editing. If your content is in Blackboard Learn as a file you will need to edit the original file and then replace the old content by re-uploading the edited version into Blackboard.
You are seeing that message because you are exceeding the course limit of 300 MB. You may want to first start with cleaning your Content Collection. This resource explains more about the Content Collection and how to manage it. Make sure to delete duplicate and unneeded files. Review this document for cleaning your Content Collection.

In the course site that has the content, go to the Control Panel, and click Packages and Utilities and then Course Copy. Select the destination course (that is, the course that is empty and needs to be copied). Select content you would like to copy (the Select All button is a nice shortcut).
