Select Pointer from the toolbar and start moving your cursor to what you want to highlight. All attendees will see your movements in real time. To stop pointing, select the Pointer button again or any other tool.
Try clearing your browser cache, and reloading the session. Restart your computer. Try using Firefox instead of Chrome. Try dialling into the session using your phone.
If you do have the most recent version of Java installed, and Blackboard Collaborate is still not cooperating, the most likely fix is to clear your Java cache. These instructions are for Mac OS X 10.7. 3 and above. Step 1: Find the Java Control Panel.
Make sure that cookies from third parties are allowed. Third party cookies are allowed by default on all supported browsers. If you experience problems staying logged in to Blackboard, please check your browser settings to make sure you allow third party cookies.

You can access the chat support by clicking on the Settings button in the Collaborate Panel. Once Chat Support opens, select one of the options listed, search the knowledge base, or select other.
Use the Google Chrome browser, as it is the most compatible with Collaborate Ultra. Certain older versions of Firefox are known to have audio issues. Check that your browser is fully up-to-date. Check your Audio and Video Setup to make sure your microphone is set up properly.
Cannot connect to Collaborate. Audio noise/feedback. Microphone is not working (attendees cannot hear you) Camera/webcam is not working (attendees cannot see you) No sound (you cannot hear others) Sharing the screen but participants cannot hear the audio. Cannot re-join a session after leaving or crashing.
In Collaborate, your microphone icon is turning green to indicate that it is on but nobody can hear you. Ensure that you have the correct microphone selected and that it is working: Select My status and settings at the bottom left, select Settings (the gear icon), and select Set up your camera and microphone.
The video icon will appear blue when it is on. If you do not see the video icon at all then moderators will need to give you permission to share video. If your webcam preview window looks similar to the image below, your computer has either a physical switch or software that is disabling the webcam.
Disconnects or frequent audio dropouts. Disconnects or frequent audio dropouts are usually caused by the quality of your internet connection. If possible, connect to the internet through a wired connection (not wireless). Moving closer to your wireless router may also help.
In student team room, cannot perform moderator functions. If you are a student in a student team room and you cannot perform moderator functions such as sharing and turning recording on/off then the Collaborate session is not set up correctly.
