The technique is fairly simple. Add water to your paint so it's a thin consistency. Spritz the fabric with spray bottle of water until it's slightly damp (not soaked), then paint a thin coat on with your watered down paint. Let the paint dry, then lightly sand it with a fine grit sandpaper.

Graphite is a soft charcoal black Chalk Paint® colour inspired by Lamp Black, a traditional pigment. It works for many interiors from neoclassical to modern. When waxed, it becomes a beautiful black like dark slate.
If your chalk paint is too thick, it will either come out of your nozzle in clumps onto your projects or clog the nozzle all together. This can result in ruining your paint sprayer. Even Annie Slaon Chalk Paint needs to be thinned with water for it to be sprayed and to get those Pro results your working hard for.

You have to also be careful to apply wax very evenly. What happens if you don't wax chalk paint evenly is that built-up of too much wax can attract dirt. But a thin layer of wax could allow water to penetrate so be sure to use coasters on pieces that get a lot of use.
