Students may have anxiety about online courses too. You can help them feel comfortable in these ways: 1 Include information on how to contact you and where to find your course information. 2 Add an introduction video about you. You can help students realize that their instructor is a real person with enthusiasm for the subject matter. 3 Upload a syllabus . 4 Hold office hours in discussions, Blackboard Collaborate, or the Microsoft Teams for Blackboard LTI integration to help orient your students to your courses and answer questions on a regular basis. 5 Ask your students to find quiet places to work, turn off cell phones, and remove distractions. 6 Provide resources for working online and materials that they can print or download for future reference.
The Faculty Resource Site is a Blackboard Course that all UND Faculty are enrolled into at the start of each semester. The resource site has information on using the technologies UND has made available to faculty, staff and students for teaching and learning.

Take 3 to 9 months to complete Self-Paced Enroll Anytime courses or enroll in Semester-Based courses and follow the academic calendar. Both online courses appear the same on your transcript.

UND provides computer, email and technical support for all online students. Although specific technical requirements may vary by online course or program, the following general technical requirements are required for all online courses.
Get Access to Your Online Course. You can expect to receive access to your course within 5 to 7 days after your registration is fully processed. You will receive a welcome email containing your own UND email address and course login instructions. You will access your online course through Blackboard.
An “F” grade will be permanently recorded on your transcript if you do not complete ALL coursework or withdraw by your course end date. If you need to complete a course by a specific deadline, make sure all course work is completed and graded at least 3 weeks before that specific deadline date.
