As we have seen, the only really reliable way to completely log out from a SAML SSO is to delete all sessions, both the Identity Provider session and all Service Provider sessions. This can usually be accomplished by simply closing your browser.8 Oct 2019
Log In As Another UserSearch for the user you would like to view.Select Log In As, and then select OK on the warning message. You will be logged in as that user. Select your name in the menu to switch back to your own account.
When you access Blackboard via a link in Sussed you will usually be signed into Blackboard without having to enter your username and password a second time. This is known as Single Sign On (SSO).4 Jun 2019
After you have logged on to MyCommNet, click on Blackboard (upper-right corner) icon to enter Blackboard Learn system. As soon as you see My Institutionpage, minimize the Blackboard window and go back to myCommNet window, click on the Sign Out link to exit out myCommNet. You may close myCommNet window entirely.

You can also change your password from your Profile page. Go to your profile and select Change Password. On the Change Password panel, type your old password and your new password. Select Save when you're finished.
To logout, click the logout button in the upper right corner of Blackboard. One the next screen, click the “End SSO Session” button. Do not leave Blackboard logged in on your computer when you are not using it.
The user's session will be timed out if they don't click within Blackboard Learn and are inactive for a certain timeframe. When the user attempts to access the Blackboard Learn system again, they will be prompted to log in.
From any screen in the Blackboard App, click the three bar icon in the upper left-hand corner to access the menu. From the menu, select the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to access Settings. Click the icon in the upper right-hand side of the Settings page to log out.15 Feb 2021
Blackboard Session timeout The default timeout for a Blackboard session is 3 hours. It is not affected by activity. If a student has been in a Blackboard session for 2 hours before the test and then begins the test is possible to get a timeout after one additional hour.
By default, sessions that last longer than 12 hours are disconnected. While sessions can be scheduled for any length of time including no end date, it's unusual that anyone stays in the session for more than 12 hours at a time. We assume it is unintended and disconnect the room.
Go to Settings > Apps > Blackboard or Instructor > Storage > Clear Data. Uninstall the Blackboard app or Blackboard Instructor app. Restart device. Reinstall the Blackboard app or Blackboard Instructor app.
