If you're into the party life, I wouldn't reccomend this school. The campus is quiet on the weekends, which I personally found relaxing, but if you want more emphasis placed on greek life, this isn't the right match.Mar 29, 2020

job was easy for a work-study position. very considerate of class schedule when making your work schedule for the semester. I would recommend to those looking for work on campus
I love my supervisor! One of the best! I worked in the library as a receptionist and quite nice. Flexible schedule, fits with your class and life schedule. Felt like home!
Library was great. Coworkers like family. With the new president we were always in fear of being laid off. Eventually was laid off due to covid 19. Miss my coworkers
I do not recommend working at Long Island University. The work/life balance, compensation, and culture built by the administration is disturbing and unbalanced.
It was wonderful place to work years ago but became a nightmare when the current president took over. They overwork you, underpay you and threaten to fire you if you don’t take the extra work without any increase in pay.
Supportive faculty who connected us with rigorous clinical internships and externships. Academic training was good and I feel prepared by my program to function as an ECP.
Being as how this job is only available to enrolled students, this job is ideal for any student in the digital art and design department. Access to the labs and computers makes producing work faster.
When you are managing an online discussion, it’s important to strike a balance in your interaction with the students so that the board has a focus on learning and is interesting enough to pull learners into the conversation, but at the same time is not so dense and complicated that learners are overwhelmed.
Student learning can be assessed by using holistic or analytical rubrics. Rubrics can provide both faculty and students with clear expectations and grading criteria for participation in online discussions. Rubrics can take the guess work out of grading. Holistic rubrics use a single scale with all criteria summarized.
