All students can view their John Jay email address under campus email on CUNYfirst. For faculty, staff and students, initial passwords are set to jj1234 where 1234 is the last four digits of your social security number or assigned student ID.
How do I enter my John Jay email username and password? When you click on the title of a database, you will be prompted for your John Jay email user name and password. Your username is the letters preceeding the @ sign in your email address. For example, the email address for John Smith is [email protected].
Tap Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account. Enter your York College email address, then tap Add Account. Tap Exchange. Enter your York College email address and password to automatically configure your account. Tap Sign In.
To declare a minor, go to the Jay Express counter in the New Building and submit a declaration form. Can I have more than one minor? Yes!
John Jay College permits double majors for students who have earned at least 12 college credits. No more than six-credits of courses may be shared by (credited to) both majors. Double majors are permitted when students elect majors that are 45 credits or less.
Majors may be changed at any time before graduation. To change your major, you will need to fill out an Undergraduate Declaration of Major Form found on the Jay Stop Website (found under My JJC/Change My Info/Declaration of Major).

Some kinds of assignments, such as a SafeAssignment or a Turnitin assignment are checked for plagiarism. The steps below will guide you through submitting a regular assignment. The steps to submit SafeAssignments and Turnitin assignments are not the same as for regular assignments, so be careful when uploading your work.
An organization in Blackboard allows students to access materials, interact with other students, staff, and instructors, and receive useful information for their college career. It is similar to a class in many ways, but your participation isn’t for a class grade or academic credit.

You can self-enroll into the course by using the Course search tool within Blackboard. The steps for enrolling in the course are the same as enrolling in an Organization, except that you locate the course using the Course Search module.
