Create an organization Create new organizations in the Admin Panel > Organizations > Create Organization > New. Each new organization you create must have an Organization Name and an Organization ID.
Use the search bar or the filter at the top of the page to narrow your view. Use the search function to find organizations on the current page.
To manually add users to your Blackboard organization roster: Click Users & Groups in the lower left corner of the organization's Organization Management area. Click Users....Manually Enrolling UsersOn your organization's Control Panel, under Users and Groups, click Users.Choose “Not Blank”. ... Click Go.

Key differences between courses and organizations Courses are created for each course code. The students are added automatically to the course once they are registered for teaching in Student Web. Organizations, on the other hand, are only created by request.
When you hover your mouse over the Blackboard Community, you will see a down arrow after the community. Click on the arrow. You will see the Enroll option. Click on Enroll to join the Blackboard Community.
Course Builder. The Course Builder role has access to most areas of the course. This role is appropriate for an assistant who shouldn't have access to student grades. If the course is unavailable to students, a course builder can still access the course. The course builder can't remove an instructor from a course.
Hover over the course/organisation you need, click the arrow next to the course ID (1), then click Enrol (2). You may be required to enter an access code, do so on this screen. Then Click Submit to confirm your enrolment. Click OK to be taken to the course/organisation.

The Ultra Course View is cleaner with a more modern design and easy-to-use workflows. It also has powerful new tools that are not available in the Original Course View, like Discussion Analytics. There are some features of the Original Course View that are not available in the Ultra Course View, however.
Select the Experience the new Learn icon in the top-right corner of the page. In the pop-up window, start the conversion to the Ultra Course View. You'll receive an email notification when your course is ready. From the Courses page, access your course and check out how your content looks in the Ultra Course View.

To limit organization availability to a specific number of days after a participant enrolls, select Days from the Date of Enrollment and provide the number of days. Guest Access. Guests Permitted. You can allow or prohibit unauthenticated users to enroll in organizations.
To make an organization available in more than one institution, select Find Node. Select whether to search for the node by Name, Description, or Identifier. Select a search condition from the drop-down list: Contains, Equal To, Starts With, or Not Blank. Provide the search term and select Go.
For example, if you have three "Student Government" organizations, create three different organization IDs, such as studgov01, studgov02, and studgov03. You can use numbers, letters, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.). All other characters, including spaces, are prohibited.
When you make an organization unavailable, users can't see, access, or self-enroll . This defines the time period the organization will remain available. Available organizations are open to participants to access or self-enroll in if an organization allows self-enrollment.
If you select Require Access Code to Enroll, provide the text to use for the access code. Ultra Organization View: Self-enrollment isn't supported at this time.
Institutions have organizations of different types, from academic to special interest. Organizations work just like courses in Blackboard Learn. For example, they have content, discussions, messages, and more.
In the list where your name appears, select Organizations to view your list.

A Blackboard organization (e.g. Human Resources Operations Certificate) is a space available by request for groups who are not associated with an academic course. Enrollment is managed manually by the creator.
To request the creation of a Blackboard organization, full time faculty and staff may contact the IT Service Desk with the desired name for the organization. The requester will be made the leader of the organization and will be responsible for creating and maintaining the organization’s membership and content.
