In Grade Center, locate the cell containing the student’s test grade to clear. Move the mouse pointer over the cell to see the Action Link. Click the Action Link to access the contextual menu and select View Grade Details. On the Grade Details page, under the Edit tab, locate the Clear Attempt button adjacent to the attempt of interest.
To get started configuring your Canvas Gradebook, be sure to first create a Canvas Assignment for every graded assignment in your course. Go to the Grade Center and use the drop-down menu next to the column header to choose "Show/Hide to Users". You should now see a circle with a slash through it in the column header for that item in the gradebook. Do not choose "Hide Column" because that hides it from yourself - not from students.

Rubrics in Canvas are interactive, permitting an instructor to simply select a cell in the rubric providing points towards a score.
Canvas handles extra credit in a novel way. Canvas does not provide a dedicated extra credit setting, instead allowing instructors to add extra credit points to any assignment. If you need to create a dedicated extra credit assignment, set the points for the assignment to zero.
Canvas makes a distinction between assignments and activities. Assignments are almost always graded. Activities still require students to do something, but the task itself will not earn the student any points.
Blackboard can be heavily customized, but sometimes changes can have unintended consequences. If Course Tools or My Grades is missing from your Course Menu (the area ABOVE the Control Panel), then students will have no way to access their grades. This document explains how to correct that problem.
Instructors, TAs, and Graders have access to the Control Panel along with its Evaluation section and Grade Center, but students do not have access to these tools.
