A menu item is hidden if it has a square with slash next to it (1). Click on the drop-down menu (2) and choose "Show Link" or "Hide Link" (3) to Show or Hide that content link.

The course menu is the panel on the left side of the interface that contains links to all top-level course areas. Instructors can also provide links to the tools page, individual tools, websites, course items, and module pages. Instructors control the content and tools available on the course menu.

Blackboard's Content Collection is a file repository that allows faculty and students to store, manage, and share content. The Content Collection functions as a virtual hard drive that can be accessed from any computer by logging into a user's Blackboard account.
They can be found by clicking the up and down arrow icon above the Course Menu. From the panel that pops up, select the item you wish to move, then click on the small up or down arrow buttons to move the item to the desired place in the list. When done, click the Submit Button.
“Down chevron” (usually next to a content item) Note: click on this chevron to expand. Reveals a menu of options for. editing or managing this item.
In general we find that using the Performance Dashboard to see how recently students have logged into your course, and course wide statistics are better methods of assessing usage of your Blackboard course. A better way to confirm that students have read a piece of content is to use review status.

Hiding/Showing Links If a link is hidden, it is denoted by a square icon with a diagonal lin through it. To unhide a hidden link, which would make it visible to students, select Show Link from the options menu. If a link is visible, select Hide Link from the options menu, to hide it from student view.
