89–80% = yellow/green. 79–70% = yellow. 69–60% = orange. 59–50% = red.
An attempt grade refers to the score that a student receives for an actual attempt. An attempt grade could be a score automatically created from a test, or it could set manually, for example by an instructor viewing an Assignment submission and entering an attempt grade.
In the Control Panel of your Blackboard course, click on Grade Center > Full Grade Center. If you set up a Weighted Total, then it does not matter how many total points there are possible in the course assignments; there could be 100 points total, or 450, or 2175 for all the assignments. The final grade will be calculated proportionately according to the weighting scheme.

The weighted system calculates grade items as a percentage of a final grade worth 100%. The Max. Points you assign to individual grade items can be any value, but their contribution towards the category they belong to and the final grade is the percentage value (weight) assigned to them.

Override grades are grades you assign manually, for example, if you type in the grade pill in the gradebook. An override label appears next to the grade. In the grade pill, you can type a numeric value of no more than five digits.
