Is Blackboard a partner of Ibmec?

SÃO PAULO – January 10, 2013 – Ibmec, one of the leading teaching and research institutions in Latin America, has selected Blackboard as a strategic partner in online learning, the company announced today. The institution will now use Blackboard’s LMS, mobile learning, Web collaboration and managed hosting solutions at all of its institutions across Brazil. Ibmec, best known for their prestigious professional master degrees, has partnered with Blackboard, which is primarily represented in Brazil by the Educational Holding Grupo A, to help increase its post-graduation and MBA courses for the next three years and help support their strategy for enrollment expansion. “Blackboard’s next-generation learning tools will allow us to offer more online courses to our students, and complement face-to-face interactions,” said Jose Luis Trinta, Business Director at Ibmec. “We are also able to provide mobile interactions between teachers and students, which is quickly growing in demand.” “As students all over the world, and particularly in Brazil, become more active consumers of their education, they expect to use online tools more and more,” said Juan Lucca, International Business Director for Blackboard. “Ibmec serves as a great example in the region of the importance of investing in education technology and we are excited to expand our regional presence to support these changes and meet students’ needs.” For more information about Blackboard, please visit http://www.blackboard.com/.
