Sep 24, 2021 · To view or download recordings, navigate to myLesley, go to Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and select the tool menu. Select Recordings for a list of all recordings. Locate your recording and click on the menu button to the right.
Blackboard Collaborate with the Original experience allows Participants to view recordings of a session if the Moderator records a session. Your organization determines how you access these recordings. You might access recordings links through your LMS, your session scheduling server, on a web page, or in an email.
Session owners, course instructors, and administrators can always download recordings. The Allow recording downloads check box lets others download the recording. Select this option to let your attendees and students download recordings. You can turn this setting on after the session has ended.
You can download chat transcripts from the Recording menu. Chat Recordings and transcripts are only available in the HTML5 recording player. Moderators can also make chat messages in the recording anonymous from the session settings. This needs to be done before starting the live session and recording it.
You can have multiple recordings during one session. If you decide to continue recording a session after you have stopped, a new recording is saved and added to the list of recordings for that session.
When you stop a recording, you will not maintain your current place in the recording. The recording returns to the beginning. From the Playback menu, point to Player and click Stop.
Anything that occurs in a breakout room is not recorded. You can start, stop, pause, and resume recording at any time during a session. You also can erase a recording and start over. Session creators can set sessions to record automatically. Then, you cannot start, stop, or erase the recording.
Moderators can record a session to play later or save for archival purposes. You can provide a link to the recording for those who missed or want to review the session. Users may have opportunities to interact with a recording.
You can view recordings in courses you are enrolled in. You may be able to download recordings. Moderators must allow session recording downloads for each session.
The recording player has the same look and feel as your Collaborate session. There is a Recording menu similar to the Session menu in your live sessions and recording playback controls.
Open the Chat panel at the bottom right of your screen to see the complete chat history of the recorded session.
If the moderator has allowed session recording downloads, you can download recordings and transcripts from the recording player Recording menu.
For the most up-to-date documentation on recording settings and features, please see the documentation available from Blackboard.
You can also use Collaborate Ultra from within a meeting at any time. Once complete, your students can access it via a link in your Blackboard course. The recordings can be shared publicly or downloaded by the instructor to edit, archive, or upload to another video streaming service.
Please note that recordings will not appear immediately. They can take at least as long as the duration of the original recording to be displayed. In times of high use, live sessions are given priority over recording processing. As such, recordings can sometimes take a few hours to appear in your recording list.
