This guide explains how to manage the grades students see in Blackboard Learn.
A student can access their grades via the My Grades link in the module or the My Blackboard menu. When you release marks to students, the student will only be able to see their own marks. There is no facility to release marks to some students and not others.
Some grade centre columns automatically have visibility of marks turned on e.g. discussion board assessments, Blackboard assessments and wikis.
To control the visibility of marks through the Turnitin Grademark system you must set-up two items correctly in a Turnitin assignment:
The fastest way to hide a grade center column is to click the action arrow for the column itself and select Hide from Instructor View. However, this will only hide it from your view of the grade center. If you want to hide it from students, you must first select Hide from Students before hiding it from yourself.
Hidden columns will appear grayed out on the Organize Grade Center page. If you are searching for missing grade center columns to reveal again, the faded names will be a good indicator.
When you submit an attachment for an assignment, you'll see your submission in the new Bb Annotate viewer. The new menu provides you with a sidebar summary view, page and view settings, search capabilities, and lets you print and download the submission.
To review your grade and feedback, select the same link in your course you used to submit your assignment. The Review Submission History page appears. If you uploaded a file, it automatically opens in the browser if inline viewing is on.

When you create a Turnitin assignment, the default settings prevent students from seeing grades before the Post Date.
To avoid having grade columns disappear from Weighted Totals, we recommend setting Reveal Grades Immediately to Yes. Beginning an assignment with Ignore Turnitin Grades also set to Yes (to ignore the grades) will hide the grades from students.
