Some users may be experiencing a busy or unavailable signal when trying to join a session via their phone. We are aware of this issue and are working to increase our dial-in capacity for sessions, as we know this is an important feature.

Click on the gear icon to open the My Settings tab in the Collaborate Panel.

Open the Collaborate panel and select My Settings. Select Session Settings and Allow users to join the session using a telephone.
If you hang up your phone without leaving the session, you are still connected to the session. Your phone is disconnected. If you are also in the session in your browser, you can still hear and speak over the internet.
If you close your browser, your phone is still connected. You can still hear the session and talk from your phone. You aren't able to chat or share anything without the session open in a browser. Collaborate enables your instructor to share content, making the session more dynamic. Most of the time, you will enter a Course Room in the role of Participant, and the instructor will be the Moderator. The instructor can change your role from Participant to Presenter, which would increase your content sharing options. Be aware that poor internet connections and slow speeds may interfere with sharing. Therefore, you should be on a private network (e.g., at home) rather than a public one (e.g., public place, such as a school, restaurant, coffee shop).
There are a number of ways for users to dial in to a Collaborate meeting, using a phone for audio. This is useful if you are having audio problems or do not have a microphone or speaker s.
By default, guests are not allowed to join a Collaborate Course Room, as this poses a security risk. However, there are instances where your instructor may share out a guest link with you. The guest link allows a one-click entry, so it is convenient.
Once you have joined a session, you will need to see what your instructor has enabled you to share and then determine what you want to or can share. By default, nothing will be turned on when you join the session aside from showing you have entered. However, if your instructor has enabled features, you will have many options for interacting and sharing items.
Click on the meeting link that was sent to you. The link may be sent by email, text or calendar invite.
You may use any of the feedback buttons at any time during the meeting.
Users on Mac OS X 10.5 and earlier must select a microphone option: 1 Single Talker: Headset or a microphone just for yourself. 2 Multiple Talkers: Single microphone for multiple talkers, such as when you are in a meeting room with others. This is the default.
You can use your computer's built-in microphone and speakers. You can also add additional devices or use a headset that combines both the speaker and microphone devices. You can join a session early to run the wizard. If you run it again during a session, you cannot hear any of the session's audio.
