Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. Press Ctrl+K. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. In the Insert Hyperlink box, type or paste your link in the Address box.
The main difference between linking and embedding is that linking provides a path to view a file somewhere else and the data that is present in the linked file is stored separately while in embedding the file is put within the container document and stored directly one to the other.
An embedded hyperlink is when text is used as the link rather than the actual URL. For example, instead of displaying the link as http://www.blackbaud.com, it is displayed as Blackbaud.
On the action bar, point to Build Conten t to access the drop-down list.
In the text box of the item, type the text that you want to make into a clickable link. For example, Click here to open the Web page you need to see for the upcoming assignment.
