Create a thread
Create Discussion Boards & Threads. This video shows the steps for creating a discussion forum and thread in a Blackboard course. A forum is a question or prompt presented to students, while a thread is an individual contribution, or response, to the forum. If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device.
Within a forum discussions can be organized into ‘threads’. As the discussion manager, you will want to create threads with leading questions. Click the title of the forum you want to add a thread. Click Create Thread. Enter the title of the message in the subject field. Enter conversation text in the message field. Click Submit.

Optional - Click Browse My Computer to attach a file to the entry. Click Post Entry , OR... Click Save Entry as Draft to save the entry for later posting.
A thread is a conversation within a forum that includes the initial post and all replies to it.
