To "zip" files is to compress them into one small bundle. Blackboard lets you turn in onefile per assignment, so you need to zip all your files up into one file. Zip your files into any convenient zip utility. (All of these programs produce the sameresult.) Give your zipped file some meaningful name.

To access the course content collection, go to the Blackboard Control Panel:

Graphic design software such as Paint, Paintbrush and Adobe Photoshop can be used to reduce the file size of images. Another easy option is to use the functionality available in Microsoft Word to compress images and therefore reduce the file size.
You can create a collection of files or an entire lesson, including cascading style sheets (CSS), zip it into a package, and upload it into Course Files from your computer.
You may want to keep a compressed folder intact when you upload it to your course. For example, if you want to include several images for students to use in a presentation.
