In the Course Management menu, go to the Full Grade Center. Click on the chevron by the column you want to hide and select Hide from Students (on/off). A circle with a red line through it will display next to the column name. Students will not see this column in My Grades.
Once a grade is on a transcript it can's be removed. You can re-take the course in order to improve your GPA but both grades will appear on the transcript. A single F on a transcript is not a life-altering event.

To hide the column, simply click on the Action Link and select Hide from Students. If the option Hide from Students is not available, you can click on the Action Link next the column title and select Edit Column Information, scroll down the page and choose "No" beside the option: Show this Column to Students.

Attempts by Criteria: Specify a criterion for clearing attempts: Last Attempt, First Attempt, Highest Scored Attempt, Lowest Scored Attempt, or All Attempts.

You can exempt a grade from a student's record and the grade is ignored in all Grade Center calculations. The grade cell displays the Exempt icon. You can also apply an exemption before a grade is assigned. If you assigned a grade and then exempted it, the grade remains available on the Grade Details page.
When you allow multiple attempts, you may not need to grade all of them. In the grade cell's menu, each attempt appears with one or two icons. If you chose to use the first or last attempt for the grade, the attempt you need to grade appears with only one icon—the Needs Grading icon.
You can send email reminders from Grade Center columns to students and members of groups who have missing coursework. Students receive a system-generated email that lists the course, coursework, and the due date if you assigned one. You receive a success message at the top of the screen when the email is sent and a copy of the email for your records.
