There is a quick way in Blackboard to check when students last accessed the system. Click Grade Center in the Course Management section of the course menu. Select Full Grade Center.

Hover over Manage, and select Column Organization . You will see that Last Access is grayed out and has the word hidden in parentheses. Check the box next to Last Access. Scroll to the bottom of the page, hover over Show/Hide, and select Show Selected Columns . Click Submit . You will now see the Last Access column.

Blackboard cannot tell if you switch tabs if you have opened it on a normal browser. It can only detect if you are working on a proctored test or using a lockdown browser. With proctor software, Blackboard can detect the switching of tabs or cursor movements away from an active tab.Feb 4, 2022
In a normal assignment environment, Blackboard or Canvas cannot detect screen sharing or screenshots if a student is working on them using a normal browser. Access Student Activity data from the Course Content page. Access an assessment's menu and select Student Activity. A panel with student activity information opens.
