Drop down the list of tools and choose “Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.” Check the box to make the button available to students and click “Submit.” This will add the button to the bottom of the list of Navigation buttons. You can use the arrows to the left of the button itself to move the button up or down.

Access a course, tap Collaborate under Course Materials, and select a session. The Course Room is a default session in Collaborate Ultra. If your instructor disables this room, it will appear in the app as Locked. Tap an available session to launch it in your device's mobile browser.
Log into Blackboard Learn and enter the course. In the Course Management menu under Customization, click Properties. Under Set Availability, check the radio button next to "Yes" for Make Course Available. Click the Submit button.
Blackboard Collaborate is a real-time video conferencing tool that lets you add files, share applications, and use a virtual whiteboard to interact. Collaborate with the Ultra experience opens right in your browser, so you don't have to install any software to join a session.

On the Create Link: Blackboard Ultra screen, you can set a number of options as described below:
Event details include the name, date, and time of a session. Decide if the session is open ended or recurring. Make the name something meaningful for your attendees so they know what the session is for.
You are not able to use the link to join session again or share your link with another user. Session links expire after 5 minutes. If offered by your institution, you can use the telephony feature to communicate with other users. To learn more, see Join by Collaborate Teleconference.
If you want to run multiple sessions at the same time for students to use as virtual study room, for example, you can create multiple sessions for the different groups to join. Course group tool: If it's for long term group work, create groups in your course and give access to a Collaborate session.
Collaborate sessions open in a new window or tab depending on your browser settings. Go to the course tab or window, if you want to view the course content during a session.
