The current accessions process is based on taking every ROTC cadet in the country that is commissioning in a given fiscal year and creating an Order of Merit List (OML). A cadet's position on the OML determines what branch that cadet will receive.
Basic ROTC focuses on equipping its graduates with the five fundamental skills of LEAD, SHOOT, MOVE, NAVIGATE, and COMMUNICATE. These five skills are embedded in lectures and training held under the two Military Science courses to be taken under Basic ROTC: Military Science 1 and Military Science 2.

I have an AROTC interview with my top choice at 7AM tomorrow, and I'm pretty nervous. Although I'm at interviewee status, I haven't finished one of my essays. Do y'all know if that's something they'll review, or is the interview purely conversational? (I'm referencing my transcript, printout resume)
Hi! I am currently in graduate school after graduating from ROTC and earning my commission. I commissioned into the reserves and my packet for my educational delay was submitted, but I just received a document that cadet command needs me to sign (DA FORM 591G). This form mentions an active duty service obligation that I was unaware of.
Currently I’m about a semester behind due to some issues I had earlier in college. I was thinking I could stack up on extra credit hours per semester. I want to take summer classes but I’m also in the Reserves and that interferes with AT. So I’m not sure how to work that out. Can you extend your contract to an extra semester/fifth year?

Hey so I am new to ROTC and will be attending MSII class this spring then going to basic to catch up this summer. I know many cadets get financial aid while doing rotc but I am fortunate enough to have my college paid for already.
