Set course availability. You can set your course availability in the Control Panel. Control Panel > Customization > Properties > Set Availability. In the Set Availability section, select Yes or No. Use Term Availability only appears if your administrator added your course to a term.
Return to your course and in the Details & Actions panel, select the Students can view content, but can't participate link. Make a selection in the pop-up window. If a course has an end date, and the end date passes, then students can't access the course any longer.
Log into Blackboard Learn and enter the course. In the Course Management menu under Customization, click Properties. Under Set Availability, check the radio button next to "Yes" for Make Course Available. Click the Submit button.

Using descriptive names for files uploaded to Blackboard allows screen readers to give students information about the document. For example, “Assignment #2 – Case study on Accessibility” rather than, “Assignment #2”.

When using a screen reader “Headers” help to section out the content of the text. Students can skip to the sections without having to go through the entire document.
It is best to provide a text equivalent with a transcript or through captioning. Both YouTube and Panopto have captioning capabilities. However, many are not ADA compliant and will need to be edited. It is best to follow some basic best practices when making sure your videos are ADA compliant.
To log in to Blackboard, you must have an active user account at UA Little Rock with a T-Number and a university email address. Active users can access the Blackboard log in page by typing blackboard.ualr.edu directly into their browser’s address bar, or by using the ‘Quick Links’ menu that appears at the top of the UA Little Rock homepage

Each course is associated with a start and end date for the semester on the BOSS class schedule. You should see the start and end date for each course listed on your detail schedule in BOSS, and you can see the general dates for each term by visiting the Academic Calendar.
Your instructor has the ability control access to course content in Blackboard, including the ability to grant or deny general access to the course itself during the time period that courses can be made available in the system.
Some campus units may make content available to you through the organizations tab, which are similar to Blackboard course, but enrollment is not tied to your registration status for the semester.
With Edit Mode on, there is a lock icon in the upper-right corner of your Blackboard Course as of March 2018. During an active semester, clicking the lock icon will change the course's availability to students.
The Course Availability setting allows Instructors to make a course available or unavailable to students. Unavailable courses are not accessible to students, but are visible and accessible to instructors, teaching assistants, course builders and graders.

Student access to summer semester courses ends on October 1. Student access to fall semester courses ends on February 1. Student access to spring semester courses ends on July 1.
