Instructors can host a Blackboard collaborate session with the “tracking attendance setting” and it will automatically take attendance and record it in the Blackboard grade center. This setting can now track and report student attendance in a live collaborate sessions, if this option is selected students are automatically marked present, late or absent.

Collaborate then sends that information directly to the Attendance tool in your Blackboard Learn course only if you have first selected and set up the Attendance tool from the Course Tools in your course.
