The Decision to Transition On February 16, 2018, the Faculty of FSCJ voted to change the institution-wide Learning Management System from Blackboard to Canvas, in order to align our Educational Technology Systems with those that are used by Florida's State University System.
The program is highly selective, meaning not all students who apply are accepted. At minimum students should have a 2.0 GPA in their Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) program to be considered for entrance into the program.
To register, log on to my.fscj.edu, visit the Student Center located under My Academics and select “Enroll” under the Academics tab.
Log on to myFSCJ and select the email icon (i.e. envelope) on the top menu bar. You will need your student email address [email protected] and password to access your email. You need to check your FSCJ student email account on a regular basis. It is recommended that you check your email at least one time weekly.

The majority of online classes are asynchronous meaning that you can engage with the course content when it works for you.At the beginning of the class, you will receive a course schedule with deadlines to plan your work.
All online courses are instructor-led and use the same schedule as on-campus courses. You may still have midterms and final exams, papers, and discussion assignments to complete with deadlines on a weekly basis. Online instructors use a variety of learning methods and assignments in online courses just as they do in an on-campus class.
Now that we’re so very close to a full transition over to Canvas, many people have begun asking exactly how long faculty and the students will have access to Blackboard and how they should access it.

The link to Blackboard will remain on the Faculty and Employee tab through the Fall term and into the beginning of the Spring term. We have tentatively scheduled this link to be removed from these tabs on January 31, 2020.
