If you have submitted an assignment and you don't see a grade, that means the instructor has probably not graded the assignment yet. The yellow exclamation point icon means that the assignment still needs grading.

The fastest way to hide a grade center column is to click the action arrow for the column itself and select Hide from Instructor View. However, this will only hide it from your view of the grade center. If you want to hide it from students, you must first select Hide from Students before hiding it from yourself.
Hidden columns will appear grayed out on the Organize Grade Center page. If you are searching for missing grade center columns to reveal again, the faded names will be a good indicator.
