Instructors can link directly to any of the built in Blackboard tools such as journals, wikis, blogs, and discussion boards in the course menu and make them available to students. The tools included are: blogs, discussion boards, Bb Collaborate, and more.
Open a course card's menu to change your course availability. You can also change your course's status on the Course Content page. You can make your course private while you add or experiment with content, and then open it to students when you're ready.
Click "Open to students" to make your course immediately available. In card view: Hover over the top right of the desired class to expose the three horizontal dots (course menu) and then click. Click "Open course". You will be prompted to confirm your decision. Click "Open to students" to make your course immediately available.
For the tools you make available in your course, you can add links to them on the course menu and in course areas. If you add the Tools area to your course menu, students see all the tools that you have made available on one page. More on the tools area.

To edit the course view for a specific course, edit the course settings. Go to Courses on the Admin Panel and search for the course you want to edit. In the list of results in the Course View column, you can see the view for each course. In the course's menu, select Edit, and then choose the course view.

Student access to summer semester courses ends on October 1. Student access to fall semester courses ends on February 1. Student access to spring semester courses ends on July 1.
