Determine whether your content host allows sharing via embed codes. Locate the content you would like to embed on its ‘home’ website and look for an accompanying Share feature and an Embed Code.
Share and Embed Code locations/appearances will vary by website. Ultimately, you need to highlight and ‘copy’ the entire text of the Embed Code for the content you would like to embed.
With the Embed Code copied to your clipboard, navigate to the Blackboard Course Content are in which you would like to embed the content.
An inactive yellow box will have appeared in your Blackboard Item’s default text area. Submit your Item’s changes to return to your Course Content page and preview the embedded content.
Then, go to the content area in your Blackboard course where you would like to embed the video. Click on the “Insert/ Edit Embedded Media” button in the text editor. In the window that pops up, paste the URL for your video.
Next, upload the video file to your YouTube channel and copy the video’s URL. Note: If you are in the “Creator Studio” because you added captions, do not use the URL listed on the video’s edit page.
Note: Your Blackboard Admin may need to enable this feature for your account.
2.1. From there, navigate to an editor for a content item, discussion, form or announcement. In the text editor, select the More... icon, which is the icon with an ellipses (three dots), to expand the full toolbar and then select the Add Content icon, which looks like a circle with a plus symbol in it (Fig. 4).
