If your instructor posts a document that contains stories with comments on a course management system like Blackboard, follow the MLA format template to cite it. A Listserv, Discussion Group, or Blog Posting Provide the author of the work, the title of the posting in quotation marks, the web site name in italics, the publisher, and the posting date. Follow with the date of access. Include screen names as author names when author name is not known.

For a textbook citation in MLA, follow the core elements system for a chapter book. Last Name, First Name. “Title of Essay.” Title of Textbook, edited by Editor Name, Edition, Publisher, Year, page range.
