Blackboard Collaborate is a real-time video conferencing tool that lets you add files, share applications, and use a virtual whiteboard to interact with students. Collaborate with the Ultra experience opens right in your browser, so you don't have to install any additional software to join a session.
The number of videos you see depends on the support for your browser, device, and session size. You'll also see fewer videos, if you have the Session menu or Collaborate panel open. Speaker view is the default view when you join.
Go to Collaborate in your course. Select the session name and select the join option. If offered by your institution, you can use the phone number to join the session anonymously. To learn more, see Join sessions from your phone.
Select the “Attendees” Icon from the Collaborate Panel to view the all of the participants in the session. Attendees have microphone and camera settings in the same location as your own (at the bottom of the screen).

Moderators supervise all private chats: When selected, moderators can see everything that is said in private chat channels. An alert appears at the top of the private chat channel informing users that the chat is being supervised. If you don't select it, you don't see the private chat channels.
In your Blackboard course, go to Tools, click on Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and Create Session. On the left you have some course session settings to select. If you want to allow students to download future recordings, choose that setting now. Click SAVE .
Ultra Blackboard Collaborate Ultra does not require a java based download as it utilizes the Web RTC standard providing participants with a high definition experience of images and audio.
