About course availability Blackboard administrators, instructors, course builders, teaching assistants, and graders can see and access unavailable courses from the My Courses tab and the course list, but they're marked as unavailable. Students can't access unavailable courses regardless of the course duration.

Click the contextual arrow next to the Username of the student whom you want to make 2. unavailable in the course. Select Change User's Availability in the Course.
The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment. The student may have a hold on his/her record.
Changing the Course Duration To change the course duration, go to the section labeled Set Course Duration: Duration: To keep the course available at all times select Continuous. To limit the course availability to a specific date range, click the radio button next to Select Dates.Jul 11, 2018

Select the Refresh button in the upper-right corner to display for any changes that were made to the course since date management was last run. In an item's row, select the date or edit icon to change the date. Select one, multiple, or all items in the list and select Adjust Dates to batch adjust dates.
