Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment.
As an Instructor, if under “My courses” on your Blackboard home page you see “not currently available” or “unavailable” after the course, this means the course is unavailable to students. Instructors can still access and edit the course.Jul 3, 2012
To access Blackboard, log in to mymason.gmu.edu and select the Courses tab. Faculty and students will gain access to their courses from this location.
Make a course unavailableGo to the course you want to make unavailable.In the Control Panel (at the bottom of course menu on the left-hand side) Click Customisation. Click Properties.Under section 3, Set Availability, select No.Click Submit.
The course menu is the panel on the left side of the interface that contains links to all top-level course areas. Instructors can also provide links to the tools page, individual tools, websites, course items, and module pages.
Set course availability Open a course card's menu to change your course availability. You can also change your course's status on the Course Content page. You can make your course private while you add or experiment with content, and then open it to students when you're ready.
Allow guest and observer access On the Control Panel, expand the Customization section and select Guest and Observer Access. On the Guest and Observer Access page, select Yes for Allow Guests and Allow Observers.
All registered classes at Mason are assigned a Blackboard course shell on the Mason server. To locate your Blackboard courses, go to MyMason (https://mymason.gmu.edu), log in using your Mason ID and two-factor authentication, and click on the Courses tab.
