Blackboard Learn is a Learning Management System (LMS) and is designed to enhance teaching and learning. Blackboard enables instructors to build and customize face2face, online and hybrid course offerings. In addition, students enrolled with Blackboard become engaged in an interactive learning environment.
Canvas is a learning management system adopted by ASU in the 2018-2019 academic year. Whether you teach face to face or online, Canvas allows you to efficiently organize and deliver your courses.

To access My ASU, you'll need your ASURITE UserID and activation code. You can find your code in an email from [email protected] with the subject "ASU Account Activation." ASU will send this email to the address you listed on your application. The code will also be listed on your ASU admittance letter.
icourse: Fully-online course developed for “immersion” students (students who physically attend classes on one of ASU's physical campuses). These courses are managed by the academic unit.
An iCourse is any class that is taught fully online for students enrolled in traditional, on-campus degree programs. Starting with Spring 2015, the schedule of classes has been updated to refer to all of these courses as iCourses.
ASU Sync is a synchronous, technology-enhanced and fully interactive remote learning using live lectures via Zoom technology. This approach can be used simultaneously with in-person instruction to accommodate students in different circumstances and enable social distancing in classrooms or as standalone technology.
ASU Fall break is from October 9 – October 12, 2021. Course Withdrawal deadline is September 8, 2021 for Session A, November 2 for Session B and November 3 for Session C. Thanksgiving Holiday is from November 25 – 26, 2021.
