Issue: If you lose your internet connection while taking a test using the Lockdown Browser, it will freeze the Lockdown Browser program. Solution: There is no known workaround for this problem. If this happens, you'll need to restart your computer by powering off the computer, then powering it back on.
When special circumstances arise, you have two options to remedy submission issues. You can clear a test attempt or add an assessment exception.
If you choose, you can clear a student's test attempt. The submission is cleared from the gradebook and the student can retake the test.
You can give an individual student an exception on a specific test. An exception includes additional attempts or extended access, even if the test is hidden from other students. An exception overrides the two settings applied to everyone else for only that specific test.
When a user logs into Blackboard Learn, a session is created. This session is what allows the user to continue to access the application uninterrupted. As long as the session is active, the user can continue to use the system without logging in again.
If you use custom single sign-on (SSO) authentication providers such as CAS or SAML for your Blackboard Learn environment, two separate sessions are created and used when a user logs in with that provider: one for the SSO session and one for the Blackboard Learn session. These sessions are independent and may have different expiration timeframes.

If he took 3.5 seconds per question, that would be definitive proof that he cheated.#N#Other than that, talk to a dean/department chair for advice. It may be that the time he took to finish these exams with such a high score are sufficient proof that he cheated (none of us can say without seeing the exam), but they'll have specific advice on how to proceed in accordance with your school's policy.
You can't cheat on that other than to look up the answers. If you use Respondus lockdown, they can't look it up. On the other hand, if they look it up, they know the answer. I wouldn't ask the student to explain. No way. Just work on making better tests in the future and take this one on the chin.
