Within the app, you can view the folders, documents, assessments, and other items you added in the web browser view of the course. You can preview items in the app to be sure they appear as you intend on mobile devices, but you must create items in Blackboard Learn on a web browser.
Blackboard Instructor includes Collaborate with the Ultra experience for synchronous web conferencing. You can host virtual classes and share files and video. You don't have to install anything other than Blackboard Instructor to join a session. Blackboard mobile apps support most common text and media files.
Respondus is a browser that allows students to take exams and quizzes online in a controlled environment.To use the browser, students need to download it and log in. Respondus does not work with Chromebooks. Respondus is a browser in itself, like Firefox, Edge, or Safari. A Chromebook, by its Nature, will only run Chrome. One possibility is, if students have an iPad, you can allow iPads to be used. It is a setting in the advanced options in the Respondus test setup.
Please note that on the Respondus set up screen there is a warning of fields in the Blackboard test that you should not modify; they are used by Respondus to control the test.
