How often does Blackboard release new features?

Every 6-8 weeks Blackboard releases additions to the software that add new features, improves existing features or fixes software problems and bugs. Software is delivered without interruption. For more information, please follow the links below:

Does Microsoft Edge support NPAPI?

Microsoft Edge does not support NPAPI-type plug-ins including Java plug-ins and many media browser plug-ins. Blackboard doesn't support these browsers for use with the Virtual Classroom and Lightweight Chat tools, the multiple-file upload interface, or embedded media that require NPAPI plug-ins for viewing.

Can a course be consolidated?

Yes, we course can be consolidated for a variety of reasons. This is accomplished by submitting a service ticket and using the category “Records and Registration” Here is an example of what the ticket should contain:

Can you change your password on Blackboard?

If you change your password on Blackboard, you are NOT changing your technology account password. Faculty should consult with their Departmental Library Liaison for Blackboard assistance. Additional Resources:

Enroll Students from Bluenet Using an e-Number String

As of 1/1/14, faculty will not have to enroll students in Blackboard couses. Students will be automatically enrolled based on the information pulled from Bluenet.

Enroll Students Using a Single e-Number or Last Name

This option works best for enrolling a small number of students. If you are enrolling an entire class, use an e-number string as described above.
