Blackboard learning management system at Eastern Kentucky University is a resource provided for all students and instructors as a tool to enhance learning. A Blackboard site is made for every class at EKU with instructors and students automatically enrolled.
Once a decision is made, implementation and migration will take place throughout the 2017 and 2018 calendar years. Currently, vendors under consideration include Blackboard SaaS, Instructure Canvas, and Desire2Learn Brightspace.
EKU is known academically for it's nursing, business, and forensic science programs. It is also known for being a good way for those who are from the poorer areas of Kentucky to gain the education they need to be successful in life. Socially, we are known as the biggest party school in Kentucky.
A brick-and-mortar accredited institution, EKU began offering online degrees in 2006 and continues to service all students with our on-campus offerings.

EKU is relatively a good school. It offers many different field paths for one to choose and major in. The instructors are nice and will help you if you have questions. There are many dorm options and they are relatively clean and nice.
