Open eReserves You can find the eReserves in the Content Collection by going to Library Content > eReserves. The Find Folder option makes it very simple for eReserve librarians to access eReserve course folders.

The Reserve Collection is a special area of the library where faculty can place high demand items – typically required course readings – to ensure those items are highly accessible to students. Reserve items usually have a check out time of 2 hours and do not leave the library building.

The reserve collection in a library holds those resources which are needed by a group of people. As such, it would be unfeasible to allow those resources to leave the library or be checked out to any one individual.
Most often materials are put on course reserve by library staff at the request of the course's instructor. Materials on reserve typically have shorter loan periods than other library materials to allow access to a high volume of library patrons - for example, the students taking the course in question.
The primary criterion for arranging material in the reserve area is to enable staff to locate and easily retrieve the items requested by students. Staff generally house unclassified materials and professors' personal copies on bookshelves arranged by course number or the instructor's name.Dec 30, 2008
