The time zone is set automatically by data from your internet browser. In courses, the time zone for due dates and calendar items is responsive to the time zones of the users. Instructors can assign a due date of 11:00PM Eastern time, and a student in the Pacific time zone will see a due date of 8:00PM.
The Blackboard servers use the Central Time Zone. If instructors set a specific time that an assignment or test is due, opens, or closes, instructors must take into account their time zone and adjust accordingly. For example, Ann Arbor is on Eastern Time, one hour ahead of Central Time.Apr 6, 2020
The important dates for the assignment will be shown on this summary page. To edit these dates, select the Edit Parts button. Select the calendar icon beside each date to select a new one. The Start Date defines the earliest time a student can make a submission to the assignment part.
In an item's row, select the date or edit icon to change the date. Select one, multiple, or all items in the list and select Adjust Dates to batch adjust dates. In the panel that opens at the bottom of the page, you can indicate how many days the selected items' dates should be moved by.

The number of submissions and the ability to re-submit an assignment is controlled by the Instructor of a class. If the assignment is set to allow re-submissions, then when you go back to the assignment, a button will appear near the bottom of the screen labeled "Start New Submission."
