Submitting a paper. To submit to a Blackboard Direct assignment, the file must be uploaded to an existing assignment that has been created by an instructor. Turnitin cannot accept student submissions until the assignment's start date & time. Students may submit an assignment anywhere up to the due date and time.

Oct 17, 2021 · Viewing Turnitin Originality Reports. Instructors can view the Originality Reports completed for submitted papers by accessing the Turnitin Assignment Inbox. On the Control Panel, under Course Tools, click Turnitin Assignments. Click the assignment you wish to evaluate.
If resubmissions have been enabled or an instructor has deleted your first submission, resubmitting a paper is handled in an identical manner as a first-time submission. You are allowed three resubmission attempts where the Similarity Report will generate immediately.
To submit a paper to a Turnitin assignment in Blackboard, the user must log in and upload a file to an existing assignment. Turnitin assignments cannot accept student submissions until the assignment start date and time has passed.
The first submission and three resubmissions will generate a similarity report instantly. Any subsequent submissions will incur a 24-hour delay between reports generating. Any resubmissions will overwrite the previously uploaded file.
After a submission has been completed it will be immediately available to view from the class portfolio page for the student or the assignment inbox of the instructor. Submissions made previously can be viewed in any active or expired class that the student is still enrolled in on Turnitin.
You can check to make sure an assignment submitted successfully. On the Course Content page, select the assignment link. A panel appears with the date and time you made the submission.
Select a course from the Course List. From the left-hand navigation, select Content under your course title. The Content page allows you to build content, create assessments or different tools to a module. To add a Turnitin assignment, select the Assessments drop-down menu, then select Turnitin Assignment.
Students cannot remove submissions from their assignments. Once a paper has been submitted, only the instructor can remove it from the assignment and allow a student to make a new submission. Please contact your instructor regarding paper deletion.Dec 16, 2021
Turnitin also stores a record of all submitted assignments on central database. This is done so that future submissions, for example assignments submitted to the ANU in future years, will be checked against previously submitted assignments.
Turnitin does not check to see if a piece of work is plagiarized or not. We check your student's work against our database, and if there are instances where a student's writing is similar, or matches against one of our sources, we will flag this for your review.
And so this means, that instructors cannot submit a paper through University's plagiarism detection tool without the student's knowledge. You can ask your student to submit directly to the University's plagiarism detection tool but you cannot require them to do so.
