Mode (s) Single-player, multiplayer. Dark Souls is a 2011 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Namco Bandai Games. A spiritual successor to FromSoftware's Demon's Souls, the game is the second installment in the Souls series.
Most of the story is given to the player through dialogue from non-player characters within the game, flavor text from items, and world design.
Another aspect of Dark Souls is the "humanity" system. There are two forms the player character can be in during the game, human form or hollow form. Whenever the player character dies in human form, they are returned to hollow form and can only have their humanity restored by consuming an item.
After two years of development, Dark Souls was released with its numerous similarities (such as the gameplay, online multiplayer, and plot presentation) and differences (such as a connected world and new characters in a distinct universe and storyline) from its predecessor.
Dark Souls is a third-person action role-playing game. A core mechanic of the game is exploration. Players are encouraged by the game to proceed with caution, learn from past mistakes, or find alternative areas to explore.
A central element to the gameplay of Dark Souls is the bonfire. Bonfires are scattered throughout the world and serve as checkpoints for each level.
Dark Souls II was released in early 2014. An updated version of it, subtitled "Scholar of the First Sin," was released in 2015 for the same platforms as well as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The third installment of the series, Dark Souls III, was released in early 2016.
The Dark Soul is the soul of the Furtive Pygmy, and one of the Souls of Lords in Dark Souls. It is the namesake of the Dark Souls series.
Most notable of its functions is the power to animate life and raise sentient beings from the Abyss, for the Dark Soul is the only Lord Soul which is intrinsically tied to the Abyss, as well as all other forms of life barring the Everlasting Dragons.
The blood of the Dark Soul was intended to be used to paint a new Painted World, but to Gael's shock, Filianore's spell was broken and the Pygmy Lords were aged to the point that their blood did not flow, for it was dried.
From the Dark came beings (Hollows) who claimed souls near the First Flame; 4 of these became the Lords who claimed the mightiest and most brilliant of souls. While the other three " Lords " chose larger souls, there was a fourth, a lowly and forgotten being known only the Furtive Pygmy. His soul was the Dark Soul.
While the sprites of Humanity are pitch black and bear white eyes, the Dark Soul itself is an actual flame, imp lying that the sprites are more creations than exact replications.
In terms of passive uses, bearers or close descendants of the true Dark Soul via its Blood - such as the Pygmies - have increased longevity, though it does not seem to truly render mortal bearers immune to age and death.
DS3's anti-cheat is the same as DS2's - it catches things like stats not matching SL, triggering certain game flags out of order, impossibly high stacks of certain items, etc. Memory editing (CE) for things like HP/stamina freezes can't be detected unless they scan your computer for running programs, which they don't.
And there was never any "softban server". Softbanning means being completely blocked from multiplayer, but still being able to play rest the game. There is effectively no anti cheat in DS3 thanks to family share. The systems you're describing are worthless and might as well not even be mentioned.
