CUNYfirst has two recurring maintenance windows each month: monthly maintenance and month-end financial close. The CUNYfirst operations team schedules a 24-hour maintenance window once a month starting Saturday at 7pm (Eastern Time).

Blackboard is accessed from the www.cuny.edu menu bar and from direct access URLs on campus websites. Access to Blackboard uses your CUNY Login credentials. If you have not claimed your CUNYfirst account on https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu/, you must do so before accessing Blackboard.
Based on statistics and usage patterns, we determined that early mornings and Sundays are the times that Blackboard Learn is used least. As a result, we have reserved the following times for maintenance windows: 4 AM – 6 AM Monday through Friday. 12:00 AM (midnight) - 12:00 PM (noon) Sunday mornings.
