Will New Student Orientation be offered in person or virtually?

As of now, Summer 2022 New Student Orientation will be offered in person on campus. Additional information and steps on what needs to be completed prior to your orientation will be emailed to your student email two weeks prior to your scheduled orientation date.

Do I have to attend New Student Orientation?

Yes. New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new First Year/Freshmen and Transfer students.

Will we be meeting with our advisors during orientation?

Yes, you will meet with faculty from your major who will provide academic advising.

What time will my orientation be?

For our First Year/Freshmen students, check-in for the first day will begin at 8 am. Students will be required to stay overnight on campus and check out the next day around 1 pm. For our Transfer students, orientation will only be one day, typically from 8 am - 4 pm.

Should I make an appointment with my advisor to help me select classes?

No, you will be registering for classes at New Student Orientation. Academic Advisors, Evaluators, Faculty, and Orientation Leaders will be available during orientation to assist you with class registration.

When will class registration holds be released?

Class registration holds will be released during your scheduled New Student Orientation when you begin registering for classes.
