The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rutgers University-Newark offers undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Systems in the Newark College of Arts and Sciences and in the University College. The Department also offers a Ph. D.
The main difference between the two is that the BS CSE requires more math, science, and engineering while the BS CIS requires more general education courses including a foreign language.
